I took this photo of Chancellor Holden Thorp specifically for a special University Day front. Kelly McHugh, the 2011-2012 DTH Visual Managing Editor, wanted to have the picture extend above the flag, so I took the picture with that in mind. In this picture, Chancellor Thorp is standing on South Building with the lower quad and Wilson Library behind him. I wanted to position him here because he works in South Building, and so this shot reflects his daily view of the University.
